I've been a Directv subscriber, with no issues for something like 5 or 6 years if not longer. I've had a difficult time receiving channels 620 and up through 775 or so. I only subscribe to the sportschannels and Major League baseball, plus HBO. I have old package that they don't offer any longer.
I have 3 RCA receivers. All different models, and two dishes. One with a dual LNB. I don't have a multiswitch.
I get a tremendous amount of pixelation all of a sudden on those channels on all receivers, though they all vary a bit in terms of relative severity. I've rewired both systems, replaced the dual LNB, and even replaced an original receiver. HBO of course comes in great, but I'm at a loss on how to repair the other channels. My signal strength on transponder 20 is 95 or so. Most others are pretty poor, with a few in the 65 range. The tech at Directv had me check 30 and 32, which were about 25. All they could offer was a $70 housecall. Should I be repositioning
the dishes to gain better signal strength on the other transponders?
