Even More Locals (maybe) coming this year to Dish Network

Hey,
Just got the new Dish brochure from Radio Shack and it announced 31 planned cites (all on Darkman's original list) for this year. Including 3 new cities

They Include:
-Dayton, OH
-Flint, MI
-Lansing, MI

Hopefully they'll all get added
Just thought i share the info along.

Flint and Lansing?!??!?!?! What happened to Traverse City? In the last projection that Charlie made, the only future market in Michigan that Dish would have was Traverse City(the nothern lower penninsula and UP DMA), now it's Flint and Lansing but no T.C. That's a shift.

But again, why would they spend any time, money, and effort in Ohio when they won't get many new customers since they have issued the tax. If I lived in Ohio, I would be ruthlessly terrorizing my state reps and senators to no end, and make sure the legislature was clean housed next election.

I wonder if this is the same Radio Shack store that told my dad that our locals (Evansville) would be available by the end of August. At least I had him prepared. He told the knowledgeable staff 'You mean through the SuperDish that won't be available until at least the first of October?' :D

radio shack told me 2 1/2 years ago that my locals would be up on dish and directv that summer when my locals began broadcasting digitally. Unfortunately 2 1/2 years later still no locals. I think they are full of crap if you ask me. They will say anything to get you to buy from them.

KornKid81 said he got this info from the RS E* brochure and not by a RS sales person, their is a difference. I picked up the new Sears E* brochures today and they had that same list of locals planned to be added list.

I am not convinced it going to happen before spring 2004, if then. All previous target dates that I have seen do not mention anything close to this year. If it happends, great, but Im not holding out much hope. Jackie
