Hello,
I currently have only one(1) Dish 4900 Receiver Installed looking at 110 & 119 (DishPro??). The Dish Installer will come tomorrow 9/5 to install a Dvr 508 ($149 5+ year subscriber) Is it possible to have the installer hook up 508 in Fam Room & the 4900 in the bedroom...The tv in the bedroom is slaved to the Fam room currently.

Thanks Dick

Yes, it is absolutely possible, although if you don't already have a coax line run to your bedroom, you may have to pay the installer to run the line. You will then also pay Dish the $4.99/mo additional receiver fee for the 2nd receiver.

Oh, and BTW, welcome to DBSTalk! :hi:

Also - your LNB WON'T be a DishPro since you have a 4900 - they require a $69 adapter for use with the DishPro series LNB's / switches. It might be a Legacy TWIN LNB though. In any event, your installer should be able to fix you up.

They should be able to use the existing lnbf on the dish since it has two outputs and since you do have a legacy receiver the lnbf you currently is a legacy.
