90% of what is funny about SP is the shock value. Without the shock value, it is simply a poorly animated series.

I remember the first time my wife caught SP. She was thinking it looked like a cute kids cartoon, until they opened their mouths!
As far as the animation goes, it is obviously not expensive to produce, but I do think that there is some artistic value to it. (Just because a painting is not perfectly realistic, does not mean it is totally lacking in artistic quality )
watching cleaned up SP, besides the fact it would turn the 30 minute cartoons into fivr minute laugh-free bore job....
kinda like watching porn on CBN....

I wouldn't mind it if they follow our neighbors to the north. South Park has been showed on OTA on Global for years now, with no cleaning up. If there's one positive to leaving here between the snow and sucky sports teams, it's watching Canadian TV, with the liberal censorship. I hate watching anything where language is censored by having another word put it by some crappy voice over.

Sounds as silly as the fact the SAME thing is being done with Sex in the City - basically, they will be cutting out most of Samatha's scenes, but I guess then they won't have to worry about commercial time, since it should be able to fit into typical syndication times.

Blecch.
Kind of like watching Smokey and the Bandit on WTBS. (Where are you, you -scum bum-??!!?? (instead of sumbittch) Huh?) Viewing the ORIGINAL version is all that interests me, make ANY edits and I change channels.
