I currently have one dish pointed at 119 & 110 and a second dish pointed at 61.5
I noticed today that I am missing these channels:
EPIX HD 380/296
EPIX2 HD 381/297
INDIEPLEX HD 378/294
RETROPLEX HD 379/295
SHORTS HD 375
I only have a single LNB on the 61.5 dish.
What would I need to do to get these missing channels?

It depends on the rest of your system. You could add a 129 dish (or upgrade the dish giving you 119-110 to a 1000.2 giving you 119-110-129). Or if all your equipment is ViP (MPEG4) - no older receivers - you could replace both dishes with a single 1000.4 eastern arc dish aimed at 61.5-72.7-77.
If all your equipment is ViP you could also do a homebrew reaim of your 119-110 dish to point at 61.5 and 72.7 and disconnect your current 61.5 dish.
I'm assuming you have HD locals on 61.5?

I have one vip211 and an older non vip receiver.
I had trouble getting 129 when I tried a year or so ago so that's why I have the second dish pointing at 61.5
Do you know which satellites carry the 5 channels I am missing?
I think I read that you could get them on 72.7
If so, would it be possible to add an lnb to my 61.5 dish and get 61.5 and 72.7 on the same dish?
Since they are HD channels I am not sure that I would be able to see them on the old receiver anyway.
I wish I could get 129 but I have a lot of trees.

If you can put a Dishpro Twin LNB on your 61.5 Dish, You could use that dish for your VIP 211 and leave the 110/119 for your older receiver.
Or, Get a DPP44 switch and have all 4 on the VIP and the older reciever will see only what it can.

I have the same 3 orbital locations as you. You are missing more than the channels listed. I have free 250HD so none of the ones you list are in my subscription, however I did a survey of my EPG and found about 7 HD channels missing from 250HD. I have that list at home, however from the top of my head it includes BBC America HD, Nat Geo Wild, among others.
You either have to go all western arc (129/119/110) or all eastern arc (61.5, 72, 77).

I only get 120HD so I think I am only missing these 5 channels out of my current subscription and I don't plan on adding more channels.

I already have both dishes on a switch like you said and the old receiver receives whatever it can.
If I put a twin LNB on my 61.5 dish will it be able to receive 61.5 and 72.7?
If so, are there any tips on pointing it to get these two satellites?

I used dishpointer.com before when I aimed the single LNB dish at 61.5
I see settings for Dish 1000.4 pointing at 61.5 72.7 and 77
But wiith the dual LNB aiming at both 61.5 and 72.7 I don't see any help for that at dishpointer.com

Just use the same as the 1000.4 for skew.
You're going to have to swag azimuth and elevation anyway. Just cover the 72 LNB with aluminum foil and find / set 61.5, then 72 should be close enough.
Also - get your terms correct - the Dual slot LNB is called a TWIN - a Dual has 2 outputs on a single slot.

EPIX etc. are not a part of 120HD anyway (unless you are paying the $10 for HD Platinum or whatever they are calling it these days).
Technically a twin can get 61.5/72.7, it's 77 that would be a problem.
Isn't Dish going to put the missing channels in 61.5 once the new satellite is in place?

Isn't Dish going to put the missing channels in 61.5 once the new satellite is in place? The new satellite is in place and so far the only thing added to the ConUS feeds are a few local markets.
DISH is not moving the 72.7 ConUS channels over to 61.5 ... people with the "split arc" problem need to add either 129 or 72.7 to their system to get all national HD.

To restate what James is saying (and adding some clarification) -
Dish's "company line" is that a subscriber needs either the full Eastern Arc (61.5, 72.7 and 77) or the full Western Arc (110, 119, and 129) for all HD programming.
If you have one of these, but your locals are on the other Arc (due to LOS issues, you couldn't get the full arc), you may try to add a single slot wing dish to get your locals. An example of this would be to add 110 to an Eastern Arc, or possibly 61.5 with a Western Arc. Be Aware that this extra wing setup will probably cost you extra money over a standard installation.

I have 110/119 and 61.5 plus another dish for 72.7 (due to LOS issue with 77) at no extra charge, and they even provided the DP44, all with the $15 service call to get the new HD.

Good for you - maybe I should change that to MAY RESULT.

Is there an up to date list of channels provided by each satellite?
