View Full Version : Dish Can't Correct their own mistake.

I wanted to upgrade a solo reciever to a DVR. Once the transaction was complete, I checked the status of my account online. On the my account page there is "shipments" page. It was showing they were to ship a VIP222 which is not a DVR. I immeditaqly called customer service and was switched from one person to another. They kept telling me to refuse the shipment. I told them I just placed the order and all they had to do was to fix the shipment and send me the correct DVR receiver.
They cant change the shipment 5 minutes after they mistakenly enter it! Stupid! Now I have to wait until the shipments arrives so I can take it to a UPS store and refuse it. Wait for them to recieve it so they can ship me the right one. I am sure they will not bother to ship me the correct receiver after they receive the wrong one back. Customer Service is horrible at Dish!!

That's pretty awful. Maybe you need to talk to somebody a little higher up, or ask for the loyalty team.

First off its a weekend so they could not have shipped it yet through UPS, second even once something is in transit through UPS, UPS has something called "intercept." Call back and have them cancel the order.
