Wireless Broadband

It is promised to be in our area soon 'Wireless Broadband' for internet connection.
Anyone familiar with this service? I'd be interested in the pros and cons B4 commiting $35.00 a month for the service.

I'm signing up for wireless service here and it will be about $500 for one year of service (includes hardware). It's a "512 burstable" plan which is 256 dn/up and faster when it's not busy I guess. I think it's just an 802.11b network but I won't have any other options for a year till the P.U.D. installs a Motorla Canopy system to connect everyone to the fiber optic network.
