DVR erased

i have a 722k.... has anyone experienced their dvr losing everything recorded? today i was watching tv and it turned itself off like the red button was pressed. when it came back on i noticed every single program i had recorded was gone, but the timers / schedules were still in tact. i lost many many hours of programs. i had plenty of room left on the dvr so i dont know what may have caused this.

right now its working fine and recording new shows like its supposed to. i realize getting the programs back will take time, but what bothers me the most is why it did this to start with! :mad: any ideas????

There are in Diag/Counters a few items related to HDD - check it.

I expeirenced the same thing w/ my 721 when it was about a year old. Came home and all the lights were flashing and the hard drive was empty. Still works though, even today, never expeirenced anything like that again. Fortunate for you that you CAN re-record what you lost, I lost the whole season of NFL europe. Never get those games back.

what can you do with a 721 these days?

I still watch the recorded events on the Harddrive. You can also feed a source of some kind thru the A/V input in the front. Other than that, you can just watch channel 101, 240 and NasaTV. and/or DVR those channels.

I should check mine - I'm doubt you can see those channels without purple card. Adding to that dish never support the card by 721's software.
Could you post System Info screen-shot ?
