There's been no official work yet, Rocky. I'd suggest tuning into the Charlie Chat on Monday night (and joining us for the Charlie Chat Chat here in our chat room). There may be an announcement at that time.

There will be no release of SuperDish pricing tommorow night, I understand they are still working on an upgrade promotion.

I do hope they confirm that the $399 price for the 811 includes the SuperDish (I believe thats a new sub package price)

I wonder if the fact that Dish is still working on the upgrade promotion is a bad sign that the price of the SuperDish may not be as affordable as we may like.

I've been a Dish customer for almost 4 years and I'm about ready to jump onto the HD wagon. From what I've been reading here and at other sites, the new 811 will have a MSRP of $399. I haven't heard a price on the Superdish yet or installation costs. I'm not happy that the OTA function of the 811 won't work if you lose your Dish signal or cancel Dish.

I'll be waiting to see what kind of offer they are going to announce tomorrow night. It better beat the deal a large electronics store here in the Phoenix area is offering. They have a DirecTV HDTV receiver and a second receiver, 3 LNB dish, and installation for $399. There are also deals on non-satellite OTA receiver deals out there for under $250 which will give me my locals (main reason I want HDTV).

Dish is going to have to make it real good for me to not go to DirecTV if I go the satellite route.

From the Charlie Chat:

SuperDISH Antenna Upgrade
$200 + $99 install, starts Nov 1, OR ...
Free with 1-year commitment to AT50 or the HD package, expires 1-31-04

The 811 for $399 is for the receiver only.

Well, I'm glad you were wrong about this one Scott. :)

I think their "work" on an upgrade promtion is finished.

Free works for me (and I thought I was looking at $500+ to swap out my 500 and 300 dishes and SW-64 switch)
