Getting Rockford in addition to my local Madison stations in HD since our Charter system here offers both for Rockford is only in SD.

Then I can point my antenna towards Milwaukee :) It's not omnidirectional and it's indoor :(

ahhh forget it, HD is on 129 UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH hate that friggin satellite! Only have 61.5 and 72.7 setup

If you have channels within your local market don't expect channels from outside your local market. If you're missing a network DISH will bring it in from another market (within the limits of the laws). But don't expect another market's locals.

WOW someone else in Rockford!!!!! I would love to get some of the Madison channels as well, but I am sure that will not happen anytime soon... For now to get CW and MY which is nothing to write home about I just have a set of rabbit ears hooked up to my 622 so I can get those since Dish does not offer the Sub channels... CC

When I lived in Milwaukee, I could get Rockford, Madison, Chicago, and South Bend with an outdoor antenna on the roof and a preamp. You should be able to get Madison from Rockford with a high gain UHF antenna and preamp (about $120 total), as its fairly flat between the two, if I recall correctly.

I'm not in Rockford, I am just north of Janesville, I just have a Terk indoor/outdoor.

I can only get CBS and ABC from Rockford.
