My mother is currently 1 year into a 2-yr. Dish contract through CenturyLink. She's been seeing the "Dish Free HD for life" commercials and wonders if she can get in on it. CenturyLink's website is currently showing a Free HD for Life promotion for DirectTV, but nothing for Dish. Am I correct in assuming she's out of luck?
...Am I correct in assuming she's out of luck?Never ass/u/me things...you call yourself 'out' before you step up to the plate. Call CenturyLink and/or Dish and ask, and keep calling and keep asking until you get the answer you want.
In the game of life, persistence counts!

Existing direct DISH customers can get "HD Free for life". Since she is getting the service via Century Link she may have to talk to DISH through them. Call the number on her bill.

Thanks, guys. I assume at the very least, she'd need to re-up for another 2 years (starting now), as well as sign up for autobill. We might give it a shot.

I just signed up for the Free HD for life thing, and while the card didn't mention it, the website noted restrictions for ATT and CenturyLink customers.
Whatever the case, it doesn't hurt to try.
