We have subscribed to E* for 11 years - have a Dish 500, with two receivers, and Seattle locals.

We have finally bought two HD TVs and I'd like some guidance about options for upgrading E* service/equipment.

What is the procedure/expense involved? Currently we do have one HD box in the bedroom (sent to us a year ago when the original old equipment died) and a relatively new 311 in the living room - sent recently when that box died after 11 years.

We have a Pioneer DVR (TIVO/recorder) hooked up now, and would like to be able to use it for archiving, but would like a DVR as well.

We may need to have our dish relocated as some trees on a neighboring property have grown enough to cause some reception problems.

If all this is going to cost me huge bucks, I can go over to Direct, but we do like DISH.

If you're not into sports, stay with DISH. They currently have over 30 national channels in HD that Dtv doesn't. Personally I don't have a dvr, but a friend has a vip622 and she loves it. You'll need vip receivers to get the HD signals. They will replace the dish 500 with a 1000.2 (110-119-129) dish. The Seattle PBS stations 9 and 28 and suppose to be lit up soon, in the next week or so.
