View Full Version : 811 is $399, 921 is $999, SuperDish is FREE
It turns out that the $399 is for the 811 receiver only despite the previous "quote "of $299. The $999 for thr 921 is also for the rcvr only.
But the good news is that the SuperDish will be free (including installation) with a 12 month comittment to AT50 + the HD PAK.
Don't forget...that the 6000 will soon be available, fully equipped with 8PSK and 8VSB modules, for $199 direct from Dish.

I'd say you're eligible.
I want to know if I get the 6000 deal for $199 and have committed to the AT50 + HD, could I still take advantage of a future (you know it's coming) 811+Superdish promotion?
I wouldn't care it I was committed two years out.

Are you sure about the 8VSB being included for the $199, I didn't see it mentioned on the slide anywhere?
to get Suprdish for free my brother-in-law still has a handfull of months left on his current Club Dish committment. he can get SuperDish for free if he gets top 50plus locals? He already has AT 100. If so this is gonna make him really happy, the thing should be FREE anyways! Your getting locals, why should you have to pay for the Dish, seems like a no brainer. they just make it seem like this oh so special rocket scientist deal.

Ends 10/31 because the 811 promotion will start (you know it will).

Charlie's exact word on the 6000 offer:
...Talk about the model 6000, MSRP $499. That receiver comes with the new module (8psk) in it. Also, It has a, also has a module in it that allows you to get HDTV from your local broadcaster, you can actually put up an off-air antenna and get terrestrial broadcasting. Most people sell the off-air terrestrial broadcast HDTV (receiver) for local ABC, NBC, CBS for more than that, that's $499 retail.
Folks say "I'm a long time customer, what are you going to do for me?"
Here's what we will do:
If you are willing to commit to the HD package for 1 year and at least AT Top 50, which would be almost all of you for sure, this would be $199. Offer begins 9/16 and ends 10/31. Very limited offer. Saves $399.
From this mush-mouthed explanation I take it that the 8VSB module is included.
(that's tough trying to dictate what he's saying) I need a beer :)
Also, It has a, also has a module in it that allows you to get HDTV from your local broadcaster... Yeah, when I heard that my ears perked up, too. But I seriously doubt they're gonna ship with the 8VSB module already in. I think that was "Charlie speak." We'll see.

I've got a message into the correct people at Dish about the 8VSB module. As soon as I hear an answer, you guys will know. :)
