While I believe I know the answer, I have a question about the Charlie's wonderful new fee structure. Let me just state that I'm a long time dish customer and am very close to jumping ship, even if it means waiting months for HD TIVO. Here's the question, I want a HD PVR, if I buy the 921, i currenlty subscribe to AT50, I would add the HD pak for 9.99 so my total would be $34.98 more than the AT100 package price. Would I get charged the 9.98 DVR fee due to lack of AT100, or does it go by a dollar amount and I would get charged the 4.98 fee? I don't need the additional channels but would like to add the HD stuff. If they insist on having the AT100 programming then D* HD TIVIO here I come because the price will about the same for a much better product (IMO - Name based recordings is vastly superior).

Makes no difference what other programming you have. If you are AT50, you will pay $9.98 per month, period. It *should* make a difference, but it doesn't.

Then I'm out....HD TIVO here I come....now if they could just start to ship them.

Latest news was Q1 2004 for the HD Tivo.

I believe it has been pushed back to March 2004 now.

I don't quite how some ppl get AT50 then want HD Programming...if you're that much into TV, you'd think you would want lots of channels offered on AT100.

If I were you, I'd hang out for a few months or until Directv has their HD Tivo ready. You never know what will happen to Dish and thier DVR prices.

You also might want to consider which HD channels Directv offers and for what price.

I have HD and AT50. That is not uncommon. I love HD and watch mostly network stuff. I think they should do the promotions based on what your monthly fees are. I might go up to the AT100 with the dish 921 depending on how the fees work out. Damn this fees really bum me out.
