New Dish Customer : Should I wait

Looking to get Dish Network programming.
Here are my questions.
1. Should I wait till 9/15 for super dish ?
2. What is the cheapest way to get equipment . Do not want more than 1 year commitment.

Yes, definately wait. They always put the bigger $$$ towards new customers. Hold off until SuperDish. Hold off longer for the 811 or 921 if you want HD receivers. Once you become a customer, you can't qualify for the deep introductory discounts again.

If E* meets your needs now, their is some good new customer promo's, like the Free DVR510 with or without a 2nd 301 standard receiver for one or two year commitment .

If you want HDTV, you might be better off waiting until around November 1st when the 811 HD and the DVR921 HD receivers will be available and their will likely be new customer promotions on these.

If a two tuner SDTV DVR is important you may want to wait until November when the DVR522 should be available, this unit will also feature two outputs to feed an extra tv without having to pay the 2nd receiver mirror fee of $4.99.

The only people who will need the SuperDish will be those who want HDTV or their locals are new ones being added to the 105 satellite location, in either case it will be a Free upgrade if you commit to AT50 with locals or the HD Pak.
