I want to sing up for NBA League Pass to get all my wizards games. They show them on CSN and that is my RSN. The thing is is in DC they have a channel called cn-8 and WB 50 which i do not recieve in my area. Will those wizards games on cn-8 and WB 50 be blacked out. I know the CSN ones wont, but since i dont recieve the other 2 channels and i dont think they are even RSN's. What do you guys think.

hpman247, I am in the DC/Baltimore market, and within the Baltimore DMA.

NBA League Pass will not get you any more Wizards games. NBA League Pass is only for out-of-market teams; the Wizards are your in-market team, and those games will be blacked out on League Pass. Comcast buys time on WB50 and CN8 to show some Wizards games.

Mike, CN8 is a Comcast channel, kinda like Metro MSG in New York. CN8 shows some minor league sports, minor college sports, and some Capitals and Wizards games.

I don't recall whether the TNT / ESPN / ABC games are blacked out. I'd assume, if it is like pro baseball, that if there is a local rights holder for the game, then you'll be blacked out.

Just one more question and thanks a lot Greg. If they are playing the lakers and the game is not on CN8 WB or CSN will i then see it. And in this scenario they are not at MCI Center, but in Staples center. I would assume since they are away then id see it since its out of market, bui really dont know.

CN 8 = Cable news 8. an Allbritton owned local news station on Channel 8 on local cable systems. That you wont get but if you get DC locals you get WB 50 with the locals

You might see if the same games on 50 are on a station in your area. My guess is though that they are not and that these are not part of the League Pass

CN8 is Comcast Net 8, which is in much of the Batlimore area, including Anne Arundel County.

NC8 is NewsChannel 8, the Albritton-owned news station, which is broadcast over much of the DC area on Comcast systems.

I'll assume 5 hours away in southern Virginia is either something like Norfolk/Va Beach, or something further west, such as Blacksburg. In that sense, the games on TNT or Disney are supposed to be in the clear for you, since you are a few hundred miles away. However, there have been screw ups in the past, so take it for what it is worth.

If the wizards play a team away from mci center(home) will i see the game since they are playing away from my area and its not on TV.

Geronimo you said"You might see if the same games on 50 are on a station in your area. My guess is though that they are not and that these are not part of the League Pass" and did you mean that the ones on 50 will be available on league pass and just not the ones on NC8 or CN8. I realize that i wont see the ones on CSN though.
