Wasn't really paying attention... and watching some DVRed stuff, but in between things I noticed that I had my receiver tuned to TNTHD, but it was actually showing USAHD programming!

I'm on western arc, in case that matters.

Anyone else notice this?

I'm wondering when it happened... Last night TNTHD was fine... but I haven't really been watching that channel today, until a few minutes ago when I noticed the screwup.

Anyone else notice this?EA is fine ... you're getting the USAHD logo in the corner on channel 138?

They are on the same transponder WA (110 TP 7).

Yeah, I was seeing Eragon (I think that is how it is spelled) same on both 105 and 138 HD channels. Same commercials and everything. The only difference, was that when tuned to 138HD I had the proper EPG (Cold Case should have been on at that time) for TNT... just the wrong programming like the uplink was crossed-up or something.

Decided to watch my DVR of Colbert from earlier tonight... and when that was done and stopped, I checked and Numbers was on TNTHD with the proper logo and everything.

So whatever was wrong, is not wrong anymore... and since I don't know when it started or when it ended I don't know how long it was screwed up OR if it was limited to western-arc.

When others wake up tomorrow, I recommend everyone check your DVRed programs if you recorded anything from TNTHD to make sure you actually got TNTHD programming and not USAHD programming like I was seeing for a while about an hour or so ago.

That's happened to me once or twice on my HR20-700. I've had the banner for a different station than the one I was watching. I changed channels and the problem went away. I suspect it's nothing more than a minor bug.

This was definitely an uplink problem, and not a receiver problem... It wasn't a wrong banner (I've seen that before). In this case it was the correct banner, but completely wrong programming.

For at least a half hour (I wasn't watching the channel more than that to know) TNTHD on western arc last night was USAHD instead.

Either it was an uplink problem OR some kind of crazy atmospheric interference.

Either it was an uplink problem OR some kind of crazy atmospheric interference.I'd bet on it being your receiver. Could you change channels and change back and get USA on 138?

Being on the same transponder WA the only difference between the two feeds would be the video and audio streams on the transponder. Those streams are not known until your receiver tunes to that transponder (the stream info is not in the tables shared on every transponder - that stream info is only on the transponder hosting the channel). So tuning away and tuning back should clear that table and reload it ... hopefully with better information.

It is possible that some switching error occur that mirrored the channels on the ground but so far you're alone in seeing the error ... so it is probably a personal problem. :)

When I saw this at first I just figured it was the same episode of law and order... since that's mostly all that both these channels show.

All I know is that I observed USAHD programming on TNTHD... I changed to other channels and verified that they were ok (I actually checked 105HD, 139HD, 140HD, and a few others)... tuned back to 138HD and it was still showing the same as 105HD.

It could be no one was watching last night from 3-4am and it could have been limited to western arc...

I only know that it was screwed up around 3:30am... and it was working properly by 4:30am... so I don't know when it started or when it stopped.

That would be a pretty weird problem to have on a receiver that fixes itself without me doing anything. I'm not saying it couldn't be... but it's really weird.
