If you get the ota module will you get the guide info and all of the sub channels?

I'm in the Lexington, Ky market and I get all the sub-channels and guide info on my VIP 722k. I think Dish has most markets' sub-channel guide info.

If you get the ota module will you get the guide info and all of the sub channels? If you buy the OTA module you get the ability to tune the channels your TV antenna can receive. If you don't receive a strong enough signal to process into a picture on the sub channels no you won't receive them. Guide information requires that you subscribe to LOCAL CHANNELS.:) On some sub channels you may get only the description "Digital Service".

Does E* carry the channels? If they do then if you have locals you will get the info for those channels in the guide. In my case that is only the big 4: ABC,CBC, FOX, & NBC. In my area I get those plus CW & PBS. I do not get info for THIS or MyNetwork TV.

Wow THIS is now showing in my guide. My network TV still shows the same thing as local CW.

Dish has uplinked EPG data for most sub-channels in my area, and I've seen evidence of a lot for other markets as well.

They don't have info in my DMA for one subchannel of a local station that shows religious programming and nothing for my local ION and its sub-channels OTA.

Most of the "big" and "medium" networks are covered I think.

Visit http://jameslong.name/markets/ and select your market.
Stations and subchannel EPG carried for the market is shown there.

If you get a station from a neighboring market over the air check that market for details.

That's a good resource. There is a sticky on the other side of the forum with info like that for DirecTV customers. Maybe you could put yours in a sticky over here for folks...unless there already is one.
