With the deal coming up next week I have a couple of ?'s:

- Do you think the installation will include a DishPRO adapter?

- What will the installation be if we are saving a so called $99 or is that going to fatten up a Dish Network contract installer? Swapping a receiver out can not be that hard or signing commitment papers.

I am looking at this as a pretty good deal as my Tosh HD RPTV does not have DVI inputs and I do not like the idea of any future down rezzing. I know that we will not have any insight to an 811 deal until they sell off the 6000's but from what I've been reading it appears that there are many questions that still need to be answered. The 6000u has it pro's/con's but I really do not see anything that keeps this from being a deal. LMK otherwise because the 16th is around the corner.

Welcome to DBSTalk, wdowns! :hi:

The 6000 deal almost certainly will NOT include a DishPro legacy adaptor. That'll be $70 more you will have to spend.

Installation will be included in the deal price. I don't remember Charlie saying that there would be an additional $99 installation fee with the $199 deal for the 6000.

Whether or not the 6000 deal will include the 8VSB module is what is going to make this a great deal or not. The 8VSB is required to receive the OTA digital broadcasts. We're still waiting to hear about that one.
