Funny enough, yesterday when I got home, there was a thing hanging on my door... sign up for digital cable and get 2 months free...

I just laughed and ripped it off the door handle $70 a month for crappy reception and like 3 feeds of HBO... you can just keep it

Cox in Pensacola, FL just started offering HD. First you must have at least digital basic. Then you get HBO, Showtime, local PBS , ESPN HD, and HD Discovery. No local HD (which CBS, NBC, and Fox widescreen are available). They want $4.95 each for Discovery and ESPN PLUS $10.95 for a HD set top box (which does not include the price for digital cable). They offer about half the SD channels of Dish and the basic 60 are analog channels.

By the way the one place I think cable has an edge is local HD, Comcast in this area has 3 of the 4.
