New HD Package

I just got back from vacation and haven't had a chance to read all of the posts. Is the new HD package going to be available on 148? I called Dish and they had no idea.

No, the new HD pak channels will be on 110. The current channels that are on 148 will remain there for the time being.

Then next year, all of them transition off to 105.

If I cut the tops of of about a dozen of my trees and my neighbors trees or mount a 4' dish on a 15' mast above my roof, I should be able to see 110. Don't know what I can do about seeing 105. I am waiting until the Sept tech chat for more info, but it sure looks like we are going to get screwed.

What sat are the DirectTV HD channels on? It may be a choice between the locals and HD.
