Receiver question

Just had my DirecTV service installed today, and the installer brought a HDVR2 and GCEBOA receiver. I think the GCEBOA receiver is a little older, but should I be upset that it wasn't one of the new H models? Are then new H models that much of an improvement?

I wouldn't be upset. Most times people get the basic receiver, the HBH-SA (comparable to the GAEBOA). The GCEBOA has more features than the HBH-SA, but lacks some of the new things found in the HAH-SA, such as component video out. Overall, I would be happy to receive this model over the HBH-SA.
