Many thanks to your forum. Fortunately found the Sony position statement on their horrible green flicker problem affecting 12 models on your forum. Until I was able to reference their internal position statement, they refused to fix under extended warranty. Neither their authorized service shop, nor their retail dealer, nor any of their customer service people, at any level, had ever heard of the position statement. Your site saved me in excess of $400 (including coverage of the pick-up and return charge). I will unfortunately never trust Sony again. I believe that they are trying to cover-up this problem. Additionally, their customer service team appears to not have any real concern for the customer and is kept in the dark by corporate Sony. A responsible company would have recalled they affected models.
