RC65RB Direct Tv Remote

I have a RC65RB Direct Tv Remote. Are the buttons supposed to light up when pressed? If so why is mine not working? Did I not program the remote in the proper way? Any help would be appreciated!!!! Thanks!!!!!

The light key is on the right side of the remote, along the edge, its toggle, when on pressing any key will light the light. If the light is off, pressing a key will not light the light.

I also have a Direct TV RC64 remote. Do you know if it has a light feature also? Thanks

No. The RC64 is the standard, IR only, non-lighted remote.

RC = Remote Control
64 = Series (models are: 16, 23, 24, 32, 64, and 65. The higher the number, the newer the model, and the more codesets it has. Newer TVs often have codesets that aren't in older remotes.)
R = RF capable
B = Backlighting
X = 2-way IR communication and able to be programmed via IR from the H24/HR24
