Someone sent this e-mail to me. It looks like he's interested in a E* system.
I have a D* system and not sure about E*'s spot beams or sports blackouts.
Would someone please answer his questions and I'll refer him to this.
Thanks in advance.
"Please pardon my ignornace but... I was hoping you could lead me in the right direction given my current circumstances?
I am looking to purchase the dish network for a new construction house which I will be moving into next week, but the local channels (and distant networks without a waiver) are not available in that area. I don't have issues with paying for local/ network channels but do have huge issues with the lack of availability.
That being said, I think a "move" would be my best option at this point to avoid any delays in receiving the network / local channels.
My questions:
Can I safely give an alternate/ friend's address
(In Detroit or Chicago where locals are available) as the service address when I sign up for service to get them and simply install at my real address?
If so, do I need to install the dish myself as not to tip off the dish network that I have given an alternate service address?
...Or is it okay to go with the free installation, and then "move" a couple of days later simply not hooking up the phone line in the interim?
Anything else I need to be aware of? Does it matter what phone number I give them as a contact number, etc?
P.S. I am a huge Detroit sports fan so any suggestions on where I should "move" to ensure that I am not blacked out on those games?
Your help is greatly appreciated!"
