Where can I find a low-cost, "new" 721?
Thanks!

Hi spciesla and welcome to DBSTalk! :welcome_s
I would recommend http://www.dishdepot.com. $529 and free shipping if you are a current subscriber.

Try calling some local retailers in your area. I got mine for $499 from a local guy.

Well, he did specify a 721...
I purchased my 721 from a local dealer last September for $499. I'm surprised that the price hasn't dropped at all since then.

In fact, I just checked the website of the place where I bought mine about a year ago for $499 and see now they are charging $549!!! The prices on these really isn't going down. If anything, maybe going up a little!
Ditto, try some local dealers and search some of the online shops. But its not likely to be "inexpensive".
An observation: for as much complaints (many rightly so) about dish equipment - it doesn't come cheap. Even used receivers go fairly high on places like ebay.

I was quoted $599 by one local dealer, so I'm looking online. Any suggested websites?

I found this at DishUSA . . . $528.99
http://www.dishusa.com/cgi-local/shop.pl/page=receivers.html
It's a whole penny cheaper than DishDepot.

I bought my at http://www.thesatelliteguy.com
I got a 508 and 721 for $630 installed, I am pretty sure that was the price, about 6 months ago. Just went to their website and you can get a 721 if you are a new customer for $389.95. Its $549.95 if you are not a new customer.
Should give old customers a little better break.
