HD Signal on E8

Just a quick question. I'm in Hawaii using 2 dishes. Currently I am not receiving any signal at all on transponder 7 or 17. I do get a signal for the other transponders in the 150 pak. I currently have a 501 and upgraded 4900 receiver hooked up.

My question is should I be recieving a signal on 7 an 17 even though I don't have a 6000 receiver?

I'm guessing you need the 8psk module to see the signals. I can see it (on my Point dish page) with my 6000 with the module, but not with my 4000 running off the same dish.
