This rollout is making my head spin. If the ota module is not included with the 6000 then i dont think it is worth it. if it is then its a great deal. Nobody knows for sure if it is included or not. that is nuts.

My biggest question is will you still need to have 2 dishes to get the HD feed. I have read the hd stations are moving to 110 and you only need one dish. i have also read where they are staying on 61.5 until superdish is launched. anyone know for sure.

hd has got to become easier otherwise the average customer will never jump in. i try to stay up to date and appreciate this forum but even folks here are confused.

i just want to see some high definition football.

Welcome to DBSTalk cycy2! :hi:

The new HD Pak channels are on 110. Existing HD channels (HBO, Showtime, CBS East & West, HD-Demo, PPV, HD-Events) remain on the wing satellites.

Once the superdish is released, the channels will transition off of 110 and the wing satellites to 105 where they will all live.

So, currently you will need 2 dishes to receive all of the HD channels. If you are just wanting the new HD Pak channels, you only will need to be able to see 110.

Thanks for the info.

I am only interested in the new HD package. only needing the one dish may propel me to go ahead and get in. i didnt really want to have to install a 2nd dish and then have to take it down and replace it with the superdish later.
