721 try to run switch test with no sat input?

You cant do it, I found out trying to revert my 721 to a legacy lnb

Although it was receiving the programming, it said no signal found, and could not run switch. E advanced tech tells me its yet another failed box

It had lost tuner 2, I am putting the next one on a legacy twin to see if it makes any difference. My 508s run fine my 721 is hosed.

Jen wants to wait a bit and get HD deal from Direct fr new subs, thayt will cost $$$ were broke right now:(

If Dish's insurance policy on these receivers says that there is an option for receiving the value of it instead of a replacement then that is what I would try to do. I bet they will tell you that it is their choice, not yours though. I wonder what the legality of that is.
