I've never heard of this. I have a friend who is considering D*. We live in New Jersey and her boyfriend is a Florida State fan. A dealer told her they could get Fox Sports Net Florida for $5.99 a month. I didn't think you could pick and choose your RSN. It's either your local RSN or you get the Sports Pack. Am I correct?

Don't know about D* on E* you would have to take the
Sports Pack but the price is $5.99. There is a strong
probability that FSU games would be blacked out in Jersey.

Find out exactly what the boyfriend wants. If he wants more FSU football and basketball games, then he wants ESPN Game Plan and ESPN Full Court. If he just wants FSN Florida to get all of the other programming on the channel, then he will need Sports Pack, but will be blacked out of the pro and some college sports.

Don't recall offhand if it is FSN-Florida or Sunshine, but one of these two Florida RSNs shows replays of all the FSU football games. I don't think these channels show any games live - and if they do you will probably be blacked out in NJ. If you qualify for distant networks, the Atlanta ABC usually shows an ACC game each week, which often includes FSU (like this week, Colorado - FSU is on). If you don't qualify for distant NETs, you'll need the GamePlan package to see these games. GamePlan will also get you the ACC game of the week. But it may not get certain games designated for PPV (gotta pay extra $$ for them). Also, FSU tends to be on ESPN / ESPN2 a few times each year.

As for basketball, you may get some non-conference games in the clear on FSN/Sunshine, but all the live ACC games will be blacked out for NJ. As I recall, some of the FSU replays are not blacked out. To see all the FSU bball games live, get the FullCourt package.

Replays involving all Florida college teams are on Sunshine Network never on FSN Florida or as Greg Bimson said if your friend LIVE FSU games he has to order the ESPN GamePlan and/or ESPN FullCourt.
