Remote functions Model 6000

Model 6000. As of today just after I worked with a CS person to get my HD channels up and running two of the functions on my remote do not work. (I mentioned the CS because she had me remove the smart card and then re insert then eventually unplug it) I don't know if this is the cause or just a coincidence.
The remote no longer switches from SD/HD in either direction, it does work manually
The page up and down buttons for the guide no longer work.
Everything else is okay I did the diagnostic for the remote when you press either of those buttons it recognizes that a button was pushed and the Red LED illuminates.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Check your antenna connection on the back of the 6000.
Make sure center pin is not bent.
Try a coaxial wire in between antenna and IRD to see if works better.
Perhaps the UHF signal is distorted and wont make the command happen but does reconize there was a button pushed.
Change your batteries to see if that helps.
Take the remote apart and clean off the rubber pad with soap and water and the board with rubbing alcohol in case something spilled into it.
Try another remote to determine if that is the problem.
