Dish Signal Quality

I have a dvr 508 and model 6000 receiver. On EVERY transponder my signal strength is 7-11 points higher on the 508. Is that normal?




P.s. I ordered the 510 through dish and verified w/ the csr many times that it was the 510 and not the 508 but they still sent me the 508. Oh well, at least it has a lower monthly fee, not near as good as TIVO though.

Zach, did you pay $99 for the 508 model receiver? Because if you did, then, you got a REALLY good deal.

I paid $199. No monthly fee probably makes it worth of the 510 the more I think about it.
