I have been getting mixed messages from the CSRs on this question. I am not sure they understand what I am asking. I know that the 6000 is a Legacy unit. My system with a 508 and 301 and DP34 is all DishPro. I have heard that the $199 6000 + 8PSK adapter deal works with DishPro. When I asked the CSRs if it comes with the DishPro adapter they say yes. I get the impression from what I have heard and read that there may be something in the 8PSK module that allows the unit to work without a separate DishPro adapter. If someone who has the unit with the 8PSK could shed some light on this it would be appreciated. Talking to 3 different CSRs last night did not give me the confidence I was looking for.

The adapter comes with the install. If you get the receiver sent then you will not receive it. One of two things is going to happen as my 6000 will be my 3rd receiver:
- install a DishPro Quad and supply an adapter or
- install a Legacy Quad which will not require an adapter until SuperDish arrives it will not matter as the dish will be replaced. Having them come an do the install will provide you with all the installation materials needed, ie switches, adapters, wiring etc. They are paying the installers to do the work.
