I am getting a little furstrated that E* is willing to use our receivers as guinea pigs for their software upgrades. 2 different versions for the 310-013 is pretty ridiculous when they could just upgrade everyone with a stable version.

When my one receiver (301) went to 1.84 it was screwed up (could not receive anything on 110 or 119 transponder 11). Then they worked out the bugs. Today I checked and I now have ver2.00 and both my receivers are screwed up. Looks like the experiment continues and the consumer is the victim. My local retailer is fielding too many calls dealing with software issues which are beyond his control so I will wait before I YELL again.

Too bad the name of the button for the last (from the Right) column at that Dishnet's software upgrade page, is called: "SOFTWARE DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS" and not something like: "History of Software features"
;)

That software upgrade page again: http://www.dishnetwork.com/content/customerCare/technical/software_versions/index.asp

Well, when I was still on the quest to clear up KCSD, the P184 upgrade messed it up. Condition was called a 'green digitizing screen' as explained by SDPB engineer. He also said that it did not have some encryption thing in the upgrade, so that is why KCSD was messed up. Not related too much to the topic, but my 60 cents for ya.

BTW, Our 2 recievers are not all messed up. They work better than before.

I got 2.00 last might my receiver asked me if I wanted to down load it so I did. only thing I noticed now hen I turn receiver on the box that says aqqring signal now says the transponder and has like a switch check screen it doesn’t say doing 1 of 2 like the3 switch it say something like 1 of 5 really strange I don’t know what the purpose of it is. But my receiver is working fine I have never had any software problems with any of my receivers. But then again I don’t have any grudges with dish net either.

My Dad's 301 receiver got the 184 software and it locked up went green and then did a perpetual reboot cycle till I had it replaced after the usual song and dance of smartcard, etc. Got the replacement 301 receiver and last night it upgraded to 200 software and it works fine now. It jumped from 183 to 200 but at least it works now.
