I am swapping out an HD CD player that is connected via Component cables. I have the option to use an HDMI Switcher HD-411E3.My question is how much of a difference is there between the two?

HDMI in my opinion is better and has a more natural look and Component seems to be Jacked up with more Contrast but you would have to try both to see what you like best.
I have mine using a HDMI Switcher also and my Harmony 1000 switches the HDMI Switcher as it switches between my DVRs or my LG BD590 which I just Love.
I will be using it tonight to see a Movie via VUDU which is very nice.

Thanks. I think i will try both.
You should use HDMI. Otherwise all your DVDs will only play back at 480p and you'll have no HD audio.
My question is:
What does this have to do with DIRECTV?

About the same as Dish posters posting in the DirecTV threads...nothing of value.
Good point - perhaps we can get them to move all of those things?
