I just recieved a Dish Center Ice magazine in the mail. Had a schedule for every team, but not the actual channel numbers.

So it was a NHL schedule?

It was a team-by-team schedule. It specifically mentioned that it had no relation to which games will be carried on Center Ice. It was just to remind you that the season's going to start soon, and an attempt to include some content that would keep you from chucking the little maga-ad away in two minutes.

This year, I want the NHL Channel with my Center Ice. We know it's out there. Please, please, please!

I have to say The NHL Network is a great channel, the few times I've tuned in since I've activated my BEV.

Of course, I love my Leafs TV! One great thing they have is called Game in an Hour. It gives a great synopsis of the games best moments, in an hour! Great if you couldn't watch the entire game.

Considering the number of RSNs that are going HDTV this year, I'm surprised that the HDTV feeds are not available in Center Ice like they are with NFL ST.

According to this the Center Ice schedule will be available one day before the season begins, Oct. 7.

I would love to see the NHL Network available in the US. I contacted the NHL offices via e-mail last winter and they claim they are working on it. They did not go into details but there seems to be content rights issues with some of the programs that are shown on that channel if it is shown in the US. I do not believe it is available in the US anywhere but I do not know that for certain.

there seems to be content rights issues with some of the programs that are shown on that channel if it is shown in the US.I'm not suggesting that this isn't what they told you, but what content rights could they be talking about? When I check the listings, all I see are NHL hockey games, NHL team shows, and NHL-created hockey shows. It's not like they're showing Seinfeld reruns!

Seems Vancouver and Edmonton are doing PPV games again, I haven't checked other teams but hopefully those can be added this year, I know Indemand told me they had some red tape issues last season. blah blah blah
