I'm in Hawaii and I'll be getting a 30-inch dish soon in order to see the E8 satellite at 110. Problem is, right now I only have an 18-inch dish and LNB bought way back in 1999. A new LNB will add another $70 to the price of the upgrade.

Will the old LNB fit at then end of the arm for the 30-inch dish?

Also, can somebody point me to a place where I can find the dimensions for the parts of a 30-inch dish? (ie, mast, arm, etc)

TIA

PS: this is not for the HDTV channels.

If you ordered the correct 30" dish, there should be no problem, They are available with mounts for DISH, DirecTV or universal.

The mount for DISH is usually referred to as a "D" tube, it looks like the letter D. A Directv dish uses a rectangular tube. Directv LNBs are interchangable with LEGACY DISH LNBs.

my current LNB fits at the end of a D-tube, I think. well, the dealer told me I could bring in my LNB to see if it fits. swell.

thanks for the help, guys.
