Email notification?

Hi,
I just tried to send someone an email by accessing their Profile, and it said 'Sorry that user has disabled that function' or whatever. Which is cool.
But then I tried to do it to myself, via my profile, and I got the same thing; only I have 'Enable email' marked 'Yes' in my profile.
Did it not work because the system 'knows' it's me, and I can't mail myself, or is there a bug/quirk in the code?

The e-mail feature in the software has been temporarily disabled because I discovered some people abusing the system by sending out spam messages to users. I haven't decided when I will enable the e-mail system again. It depends on how many requests I get to bring it back.

That's cool, I'm all for anti-spam. It's probably not really widely used anyway.
Does PM on the board still work, so members could still be contacted directly?

The e-mail feature has now been re-enabled.
