Check out the 'Multi-room DVR' whitepaper (http://tinyurl.com/opva) (PDF file, free viewer (http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html) required). Yea, I know it's not from a DBS source, but they have interesting market survey stuff (in the 'Why Multiroom DVR?' section), e.g.

67% indicated they were ‘very interested’ in being
able to access a DVR from other TVs in their home.
The survey also showed altered TV viewing habits with 65%
saying they watch more TV programs now than before they
had a DVR. In this same survey, 81% of the respondents
said that “TV is more fun than it was before DVR.”

I think the upcoming Dish 522 box is right on target (two tuners, DVR, two TV outputs) and people are ready to buy.

I've been doing this "feature" since I got my Dish 508's. Luckily, the units come with two RCA Outputs. I just bought myself a couple of 50 ft RCA cables and ran a connection from the living room to the master bedroom, and from master bedroom to the kids' room.

When I got my receiver and speaker set, I had a dilemma since I needed one more output, and I found out from a Dish CSR that I can use the coaxial in the back of the unit. He said that they are always on, so technically, I can connect each PVR to three TVs!

Life is sweet, especially with the UHF remotes.
