Is their someway to setup the 501 or 6000 remote controls so they dont control both receivers at once I have a tv with split screen but I cant change one channel with out changing the other one also. Is their a way around this.

That is a good question. I have this concern also, since I will soon have a 508 and 6000, next to each other.
Anyone in this situation, please chime in.

Yes - you need to change the remote address on one of the units. Do some searching here for that topic (trust me - it's been covered before), and before you start it, unplug one of the units (say the 6000). THen use the 50x remote to change the address to something other than 1.

Yeah, this is covered in your manual that comes with your receivers. Just change the address of one of your remotes.
