I updated my Apple TV last night and tried it out. Basically, from what I can tell, only independent films are in DD 5.1. Most "mainstream" films are still 2 channels.

That list will continue to grow as Netflix sinks more money into streaming. I watched a few minutes of Stallone's Cobra last night. DD sounded great, picture was great too. I am continually blown away by Netflix streaming quality.
