New Software For A Rca D222rd/how To Recieve?

I have a DTC100 built into my tv and a phase 3 dish, I picked up a older rca D222RD and wanted to now how I download new software to look a more than on bird like my DTC100. Is there a way to force download like dish.

not possible...older Directv receivers cannot take software updates like Dish receivers.

You need a Direct TV Plus receiver in order to see more than one satellite. It looks like that model can only see one bird.
