I ordered the $149.00 Dish 6000 and OTA adapter. Been cancelled four times - the warehouse does not have any and does not expect any from Dish for another 2 weeks. Bah.

Anyone else hearing this?

Wow.. I just got mine today. Ordered it Thurs and installer was at my door at 9am with a new 6000 and 8VSB in hand. I figure they are going fast...

Since they arent manufactured anymore there is a finite supply.

I've posted this before, but I want to complain some more. I ordered mine 2 weeks ago tomarrow (sept 16) and like a dumbass I asked them to install it the next saturday (sept 20). Well as it turned out they ran out between tues and sat and now Its been 2 weeks and still no 6000 :( Grumble, Grumble...

Sent my failed 6000u out on Friday so there should be another added to the system once it gets repaired. Mine broke last Tuesday and they shipped me a brand new one which arrived on Thursday.

I am not sure what is going on with your order but I was reassured that they have them available. I guess it depends on which warehouse is handling your shipment. I think your best bet is to get is shipped to the DNSC that services your area and have them install it. That is how I got my first unit and the replacement unit was shipped direct to me via second day air.

Ordered the 6000U on the 23rd (After 4 calls) and received via Fed-EX yesterday (8/29)... It's SWEEEEEEET! :icon_hroc: The wife is upset that there is no HBO or Showtime yet (I don't want to hook up a new dish now! I'd rather wait.) She actually got excited when a hockey preview showed up on HDNET!

If you have locals package with at least one minor local on a side slot you can get a second dish for free. No strings attached. They have to do everything to make it work on all your receivers.

Ok, I talked with star west satellite, (the company supposed to install the dish), today and apparently they "LOST" the order of receivers that were supposed to come in this week. So now they are telling me that I have to wait while they order another batch. 4 weeks to get a fricken receiver installed?!?!?!

Dish CSRs have been no help at all. All they are willing to tell me is to call star west. I am really getting fed up with the run around. Especially, since I ordered the 6000 at 7am the first day it was available.

Anyone have any help at all? I'm absolutely pissed at getting jacked around. Isn't there an e-mail address that I can contact charlie directly?

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh h!!!!!!!
