Well the 6000u arrived today minus the 8vsb module, its on backorder. Installer told dish to mail it to me rather than the installer. csr insisted they would have to charge me shipping.
Installer, then pointed out what a service call would cost dish to come back and install it, verses free shipping, csr agreed to free shipping. We will sure check our next invoice.
Installer was real vague about setting up a 6000u, said he had only worked on 3 others. Used most of his time trying the plug it here, plug it there system, unit was still not right when he left a good 2.5 hrs later.
With the help of tech service, I got it down to one problem---no audio in SD when in video 1. Tomorrow is an other day. :confused:
P.S. Well, it turns out that the hookups were just wrong, disconnected the whole system and started from scratch---it is working fine now. Waiting for the module.
