JVC manufactures E* epuipment?

JVC did make and market the discontinued D-VHS recorder. This was essentially a Dish 5000 receiver mounted to a JVC D-VHS recorder. I suspect that Dish simply supplied the 5000 in the form of a circuit board and JVC assembled it all in one package.

This is no different than those Philips and RCA logos you seen on the Dish receivers, just a label slapped on there for the big retail chain stores. Retailers that do not run big retail chain stores do not get these.
