We currently have the Dish 500 w/Dual LNB and 2 receivers hooked up and I'm planning on getting another receiver for my bedroom (probably the 508) and here's my situation.
My dad is planning on getting the 921 and SuperDish once that comes out (probably within a month or so)
If I want a connection in my room I need to either: get a Quad LNB Adapter ($150 MSRP or ~$70 on eBay) for our Dish500 or wait til we get the SuperDish and get the version for that (~$100 MSRP) Plus the receiver, obviously, which I'll need either way I go.
So...question:
Should I just buy the Quad adapter off eBay now and hook it to our current dish OR should I just wait til we get the SuperDish in a month or 2(hopefully) and get that adapter(which I guess I'll have to do at that time anyway...but I can always sell the Dish500 w/Quad adapter back on eBay)?
It's all opinion I guess so I was just interested in what people on here would think. My dad tapes a lot of stuff and I just wanted to have a connection in my room in time to tape/watch stuff like 24, ER, Adult Swim, Smallville, blah blah blah...thanks everybody
