I woke up a few ago and turned on my digi cable to see 4 new sports channels. FOX SPORTS WORLD, FOX SPORTS DIGITAL ATLANTIC, PACIFIC, and MIDWEST. I knoe dish has FSW, but y can only cable carry the digital networks and they have sports with no blackouts and adelphia isnt making me pay 4 them, and dish and direct dont have them so u have to buy a big package like Center Ice. I just found this interesting although i cant wait to get DISH (betta not forget my 510 again) cuz the channels break up on digital cable on high paced action like soccdr, but just curious though.

Those 4 networks are digital cable exclusive and made up of programming from any & all of the regional FOX Sports Nets and then repackaged. The only live sports programming will be things that FSN has national rights to. you won't see any professional sports, but some college and alot of coaches shows, outdoors shows, etc.

Dish doesn't have any rights those channels, but any live college sports(like extra college hockey and baseball games) will usually be shows on the "Sports Alternate channels"(channels 445-448). I'm pissed off about no College Sports TV. There are close to 10 college hockey games scheduled to be on that channel this year.
I didn't realize the "Fox Sports Digital Nets" were a cable exclusive, but since they would only duplicate programming on the RSNs in the Sports Pack, they aren't really necessary for Dish or DirecTV.
One nice thing about the Sports Pack is NHL and NBA replays are in the clear - and the end of MLB games are in the clear, if they go over their time limit (at least on Dish).
FOX SPORTS NET (Midewst?) will show 10 Wild hockey and 10 Timberwolves basketball in HD after the first of the year. In the long run we will need these sports channals in HD on the Dish.
