Hey everbody. On Oct 4(Saturday) I happily ordered a 6000 with the 8vsb. The English-impaired csr did a fine job-put me on hold A LOT and checked a lot which is ok. He told me 3-5 biz days for the delivery. Well, on the 5th day the package was BEING SCANNED as it departed Colorado. Thats 5 days of nothingness--pretty good huh?. I called Dish and made a very reasonable offer: I would pay for a new 6000 to be overnited, and send the original back to Dish for credit. A reasonable offer?? Eh? Anyway my answer was--"Overnmite shipping is not available FOR THAT PRODUCT!!) You mean to tell me they ship overnite but cant arrange my 6000 to go out overnite?? On a customer service issue?? Good God!! They did credit me for shipping $14.99 + $8.49 of 6000 and the 8vsb respectively. So I wait.

As you have some spelling issues, ie. overnited, Overmite and cant, for example; perhaps you have comprehension issues as well.

You are correct however, pointing out that God is good.

There is a certain irony if a poster complains that his CSR was "English-impaired" in the middle of a count-the-grammatical-mistakes post. Me, I'm always a stickler for adding the apostrophe to "can't".

But I try very hard to avoid picking on grammar for its own sake. I make way too many mistakes myself. :)

One thing that is out of their control is shipping once it leaves the warehouse. Is there some reason that you can't wait another day or two? You sound like a spoiled little kid.

Yeah, don't you think that "Fiasco" in the thread title is overstating things a bit? I was expecting something juicy :(

I ran into this with Sears the other day:( My new dishwashers motor was bad and they couldnt overnite the parts even at my expense. It turned into a nightmare of missed appointments and broken promises. Also 3 days of missed work for me waiting around for tech appointments that didnt show.

Some folks like me get rotten service for unknown reasons or EVERYONE gets flakey service and just accepts it. I am beginning to believe its number 2:( I managed to talk to the actual store manager where I bought the thing, he was willing to give me the world. discount wise.

Myself? I just want someone to fix the system and adjust a certin uncooperative rep who needs their head kicked in...

Normally I am not so $#@ about a particular person but they saw to it that I couldnt speak to the branch service manager. Either he doesnt want the unhappy calls or they are protecting themselves.

Back on topic the beancounter run customer service of today has really gone down the tubes:(

Whatever the Hell this guy is referring too, I have always had any defective modules sent to me via at least 2nd day service. I have been extremely happy with Dish customer service.
