I'm new here, but I've been looking thru search for anyone else who had this problem. After the power fluctuates or goes off and comes back on, my HDVR2 (now HDVR3 with that update it downloaded) can not find the satallite on input 2. I have a round dish with a dual LMB. Anyhow, it does pick up a signal on both inputs on transponder 6 and 7, but otherwise, nothing from 2. Input 1 is working fine. This has happened before, and normally unplugging it for awhile and plugging it back in fixes the problem, but I'm wondering if I should push DTV to fix the problem. I called them and they said I need to buy a UPS to fix the problem. I planning on putting a UPS on there, but I feel it shouldn't be a crutch for them to use. Thanks guys!

Defender a couple of corrections. You don't have a LMB you have a Low Noise Block Amplifier Feed commonly abbreviated LNB or LNBF. Directv is not responsible for fixing your problem the manufacturer of your equipment is the one that warranty the product. Directv is the programming provider and more out of self defense they try to help customers with problems.

Your problem with tuner two is probably a cabling issue check for corrosion on fittings. or if your install is still under warranty get the installer back out to check the problem.

LNB...sorry...anyhow, the cabling is new. I paid DIRECTTV for the receiver and installation. That means I call DTV with my problem. Just to give an update, DTV is sending out another receiver. I'm hoping that takes care of it.
