This may have some significance here in Vero Beach, home of the LA Dodgers spring training camp for over 50 years.

General: another case of a baseball team for sale from a major stock company to a rich individual. The smart money is getting out of this sponsorship and team ownership is becoming a rich man's toy. Next up, look for Ted the Red to trade his TWAOL stock for the Braves (which would be a tax free transfer). BUD, DIS, and now NWS are out of this sport, whose day of reconning can be delayed, but not avoided.

Real estate: The Dodgers are the only Pacific Time team that trains in Florida, a deal that goes back to their Brooklyn days. This has been illogical for a long time. IIRC, they don't own Dodgertown. Look for them to make a deal for a baseball themed housing development in Arizona, or even in the LA suburbs, and for some other team to move into Vero Beach.

IIRC, they don't own Dodgertown. You are correct. The facilities were purchased from Rupert & Co. a few years ago by Indian River County and the City of Vero Beach and are leased back to the team owners and successors on a VERY long term basis. The new owner has stated that the sale will have no effect on Dodgertown. It will be interesting to see if this is true.
